It's no secret that gemstones and crystals are becoming more popular among the beauty industry. Each stone has a captivating beauty and uniqueness that you may have been missing all this time.
If you feel overwhelmed, no need, start small and simple. Gemstones can be used in so many ways, depending on the type. You can put them in your water, in your pillowcase, on your window ledge, and yes of course, in your skin rituals.
In my facials and personal skin care rituals I use rose quartz, clear quartz, red jasper, white nephrite, jade, and amethyst.
Gemstone Meanings and Properties
White Nephrite, according to Dr.Zhang, in Chinese medicine, white jade nourishes "yin" which means it nourishes the skin and has anti-inflammatory properties for the skin. White jade's color belongs to metal elements, pertaining to the lung, which nourishes skin thus treating the dryness and helps to prevent wrinkles. It is calming, grounding and known to protect the wearer of negative energies. It brings peace, harmony and luck.
Rose Quartz is the stone of universal love, restores trust and harmony; purifies and opens the heart, promotes love; feelings of peace, calming, reduces high blood pressure, and alleviates vertigo. Minimizes redness, fine lines and wrinkles, and releases tension in the face.
Clear Quartz brings clarity to shadows within the mind, provides balance and harmony
Amethyst is best to improve blood circulation and heal by emitting far infared rays which gently raise the temperature of the skin to stimulate collagen. Associated with royalty, protective, relieve stress and strain. Balances mood swings, dispels anger, anxiety and fear.
Jade is very cool and assists reducing inflammation and constricts capillaries under the eyes to reduce dark circles and puffy eyes.
Red Jasper is a supreme nurturer, soothes the mind of anxiety, provides encouragement and creative solutions to dis spell conflicts or problems.
